Climate Energy & Livelihoods Initiative

Clean energy and stronger livelihoods for communities across Nigeria.

CELI is a Nigerian foundation working to widen access to clean, affordable energy and to build sustainable livelihoods in communities that have been left out of the energy transition.

Our Mission

We design and run programmes in renewable energy, solar-integrated farming, community training, and education and advocacy. Our work is built around the people it serves, with women and young people at the centre.

Programme areas at a glance

Energy Access

We bring solar power to homes, schools, health facilities, and small businesses through solar home systems, mini-grids, and productive-use equipment.

Agrovoltaics

We run pilots that combine solar energy with smallholder farming, so the same land produces both power and food.

SolarLearn

Online courses in energy literacy, solar basics, and green enterprise, with hands-on training to follow as the programme grows.

Education and Advocacy

We run energy and climate education in schools and communities, and we bring community evidence into policy.

How we work

We plan projects with communities rather than for them. We deliver through partnerships, we set clear targets and measure results, and we hold ourselves to the governance and financial standards that serious funders expect.

Build with us.

We are looking for funders, partners, and communities to work with on clean energy and livelihoods across Nigeria.
